Now one space after a wall was removed,
the living and dining areas are a snapshot of
Barbara’s approach to decorating: neutrals
with lots of texture plus her favorite aqua
blue. She had a pair of terra-cotta statues
wired as large-scale lamps for the living
room,
above far left.
The dining room
hutch,
above right,
was a lucky find at a
secondhand shop. Barbara’s son, Chris,
helps himself at the paneled refrigerator,
left.
The island is one of a pair of antique lab
tables Barbara had topped with marble.
